| ACS Division of Analytical
Chemistry selected Zhi Zhu for fellowship award.
Graduate student Zhi Zhu has been selected as a recipient of a nine-month
graduate fellowship by the American Chemical Society Division of Analytical
Chemistry. Proctor & Gamble is sponsoring her award. ACS offers fewer than
ten graduate student awards nationally each year, only three of which are
awarded this year with the nine-month fellowship. Congratulations, Zhi
(Judy)!
Zhi is a member of Prof. Weihong Tan's research group, whose research
interests include chemical biology, bioanalytical chemistry, molecular
engineering, biomedical engineering and bionanotechnology. Zhi is the third
member of Dr. Tan's group to receive an ACS award in the last five years.
Dr. Chaoyong Yang (2005 recipient, now a Professor at Xiamen University in
China and Dr. Lin Wang (2006 recipient, now a senior scientist at Eli Lilly
in Indianapolis) were the previous awardees.
