Katritzky receives the Royal Society of Chemistry
Robert Robinson Award
Professor Alan Katriztky has been named the recipient of the 2009
Robert Robinson Award for "his many outstanding contributions to the
synthesis and reactivity of heterocycles." This highly prestigious,
international award, given annually by the Royal Society of Chemistry,
recognizes innovative contributions in the field of organic chemistry.
Professor Katritzky is the Kenan Professor of Chemistry and the Director of the Institute for Heterocyclic Compounds and also the recipient of the Tilden Medal and Heterocyclic Medal from the Royal Society of Chemistry, Cope Senior Scholar Award and Florida Award from the American Chemical Society, and many other awards. Professor Katritzky is listed as a most highly cited chemist according to ISI Web of Knowledge. Congratulations!
