Tan Named Fellow of AAAS
University of Florida chemistry professor, Weihong Tan has been selected as a fellow in the American Association for the
Advancement of Science, or AAAS.
The AAAS, founded in 1848, is the world's largest general scientific society. To date, 24 UF faculty members have been named as fellows.
Weihong Tan has taught at UF since 1996, specializing in bioanalytical chemistry, biomedical engineering and biophysics.
He is the associate director of UF's Center for Research at the Bio/nano Interface.
Tan will be honored along with 374 other newly-selected fellows at the AAAS annual meeting in St. Louis in February.
