Stewart wins International Biocat Award 2006

Professor of Chemistry Dr. Jon Stewart has been honored with the Biocat Award 2006 at the 3rd International Congress on Biocatalysis, held September 1 - 7 at the Hamburg University of Technology in Hamburg, Germany. The prestigious Biocat Award was endowed to honor outstanding scientists in the field of biocatalysis, the technology in which enzymes are used to catalyze chemical reactions.

The award is presented in three categories (academia, industry and lifetime achievement) and the competition is open to researchers in all nations. Dr. Stewart was awarded the Biocat Award in Academia, which recognizes the scientific work by Dr. Stewart and his research group on biocatalysis over the past twelve years.
