Richards named a 2007 Distinguished Teaching Scholar
Professor Nigel J. Richards has been named a new 2007 member of UF’s Academy of Distinguished Teaching Scholars. One of two new members, Richards has demonstrated sustained innovation and commitment to teaching throughout his career. He also has articulated his vision for promoting excellence across campus to the faculty committee that reviewed nominees to the Academy.
Richards will serve for three years on the Advisory Board for the University Center for Excellence in Teaching to assist them in advancing their vision for excellence and faculty enhancement at UF. In this capacity he will assist the Associate Provost in developing programs and workshops that enhance the professional careers and experiences of faculty.
After completing the three-year term on the Advisory Board, Richards will retain the title of Distinguished Teaching Scholar and continue to be a part of the Academy. |
